Animal Technology Warranty Policy

Animal Technology stands behind the systems we build and supply. This warranty is intended to provide clear and fair support where a genuine hardware fault develops, while protecting both the customer and Animal Technology from damage, misuse or unauthorised modification.

Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or affects any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer legislation.

Warranty Coverage

Unless otherwise stated on the individual product listing, products supplied by Animal Technology are covered against hardware faults arising from defects in the components, assembly or workmanship during the stated warranty period.

A warranty claim must relate to a genuine fault with the product. Normal characteristics of the product, software compatibility issues, game-specific performance, expected operating noise, cosmetic characteristics disclosed before purchase, or performance that is consistent with the specification advertised at the time of sale are not in themselves hardware faults.

If a Fault Develops

Please contact Animal Technology before returning a product.

We may initially ask you to carry out reasonable troubleshooting or provide photographs, video, error messages or other information that may help identify the problem. Many software, configuration and peripheral issues can be resolved without returning the system.

Where a return is required, we will provide appropriate return instructions.

Returned products may be inspected, tested and diagnosed to establish the nature and cause of the reported fault.

Where the applicable legal remedy is repair or replacement, Animal Technology will normally repair the product or replace the affected component/product as appropriate. Any repair or replacement will be completed within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the customer.

A refund is not automatically due simply because a product develops a fault. The remedy available will depend upon the circumstances, the age of the product and the customer's applicable statutory rights.

Damage and Misuse

The warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by accident, neglect, misuse, liquid damage, impact damage, improper storage, incorrect installation of accessories, inappropriate power supplies or connections, or other damage occurring after delivery which was not caused by an inherent fault in the product.

Modification and Overclocking

Animal Technology systems may contain specialist or modified hardware and software.

Customer modifications, dismantling, BIOS or firmware modification, voltage changes, overclocking beyond settings supplied or approved by Animal Technology, replacement of cooling components, wiring alterations or other modifications do not automatically invalidate all statutory rights.

However, Animal Technology will not be responsible under this warranty for a fault or damage caused by an unauthorised modification, inappropriate overclock, incorrect voltage, physical alteration or misuse.

If a modification makes diagnosis or repair more difficult, we may ask that the product be returned to its supplied configuration where reasonably possible.

Software and Games

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the warranty principally covers the supplied hardware.

Operating systems, drivers, games and other third-party software are continually updated and may behave differently following updates. Compatibility or performance problems caused solely by third-party software, game updates, operating-system updates, online services or external peripherals are not normally considered hardware defects.

Animal Technology will nevertheless provide reasonable assistance in diagnosing whether a reported problem is hardware or software related.

Returned Products

Products should be returned with the accessories or components reasonably required to test the reported fault and should be securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.

Customers should not intentionally return products with unrelated physical damage without informing us.

We document and inspect returned systems. If inspection indicates that the reported problem resulted from accidental damage, misuse or unauthorised modification rather than a covered fault, we will contact the customer before carrying out any chargeable work.

No Fault Found

If extensive testing finds no hardware fault, we will contact the customer with the results. We may provide further troubleshooting assistance or arrange return of the product.

Any charge that may apply for work outside the warranty, or for damage not covered by it, will be explained before chargeable work is undertaken.

Repairs

Repairs may involve replacement of a defective component with an equivalent component of the same or better functional specification where the original component is unavailable.

Repairing or replacing a component does not reduce any statutory rights the customer may have.

Data and Storage

Customers should back up important data before returning a computer wherever possible. Diagnosis or repair may require operating-system restoration, drive replacement or erasure of stored data.

Animal Technology cannot guarantee preservation of customer data during diagnosis or repair, so customers should maintain appropriate backups.

Making a Warranty Claim

To report a problem, contact Animal Technology with your order details, a description of the fault and, where reasonably possible, photographs, video or error information showing the problem.

We will then advise you of the appropriate troubleshooting or return procedure.
